The Election and Vetting Committee wishes to inform the members of Mzima Springs NWDT Sacco Ltd that the following members have successfully applied, been vetted, issued with a 2026 Board and Supervisory Committee Nomination Certificate, and have signed the Election and Vetting Code of Conduct. They are therefore cleared to campaign for their respective Board and Supervisory Committee positions.

Brief Profiles of the Nominated Members

  1. Fredrick James Otieno

Fredrick is a dynamic financial professional and the current Executive Treasurer of Mzima Springs NWDT Sacco Ltd, where he also serves on the Management Board. Passionate about advancing financial literacy and stability, he ensures the Sacco delivers top-notch credit facilities while maintaining rigorous financial oversight, including budgeting, liquidity management, and compliance. A Doctoral Fellow at Strathmore University Business School, Fredrick specializes in Accounting, Financial Reporting, and ESG topics, with over a decade of experience in teaching, research, and SME training. He holds a Master of Commerce in Forensic Accounting, a First-Class Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

2.  Perpetua Muema Kaluki

Perpetua is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience at Kianda School, where she leads the Housekeeping department with excellence. She holds a degree in Business Management (Human Resources) and a specialized certificate in Hospitality, combining strong leadership skills with deep industry knowledge. Beyond her role at Kianda, Perpetua actively contributes to several boards, including Mzima Springs NWDT Sacco Ltd, the Kianda School Staff Retirement Benefit Scheme, and Kyome Mixed Secondary School, demonstrating her commitment to governance and community development.

Passionate about empowering others, Perpetua thrives on helping people achieve their goals, using her expertise, mentorship, and support to make a lasting impact.

3.  Stephen Wambugu Karira

Stephen is a Finance and Administration professional with over 12 years’ experience in higher education and research institutions. He currently serves as Head of Finance & Administration at Eastlands College of Technology, overseeing finance, HR, procurement, compliance, and facilities management, and serves on the College’s Management Board. He has strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, audits, compliance, and institutional administration. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance), is a registered ICPAK member, and serves on the board of Kagonye Boys Senior School. He has been a member of the Sacco for approximately 8 years and enjoys community service, mentoring, and outdoor activities.
