Call for Board Nominations 2026

BOARD AND SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP 2026

Dear Esteemed Members,

The Elections and Vetting Committee wishes to formally notify the membership that during the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), two (2) Board positions and one (1) Supervisory Committee position will fall vacant. The elections shall be conducted strictly in accordance with the Elections and Vetting Policy.

Board Positions and Constituencies 

In line with the Elections and Vetting Policy, the constituencies have been restructured as follows:

  1. Strathmore University Constituency (Strathmore University) – 4 Board Positions
  2. Strathmore School/Kianda School Constituency – 2 Board Positions
  3. Uzima Constituency -(SRCC, Quest Works, Alumni, Creates, Eastland’s College, Fontana Bookshop, Tigoni, Thigiri, Hodari Boys, Kimlea Girls, Kibondeni College, Karima Residence, Elmolo Residence, Satima, Ewaso Club, Watani, Senaca, Fanusi Study Center, Roshani, Imara Educational Foundation, Mzima Students, Samawati Medical, Kivulini, Mvule Catering, Divas, Off-Payroll Members, Former Employees) – 1 Board Position
Vacancies for the 2026 Elections: 
  1. One (1) board position in the Strathmore University Constituency
  2. One (1) board position in the Strathmore/Kianda School Constituency
Important Notes: 
  1. Members may only vie for vacancies arising within their designated
  2. For the Strathmore School / Kianda School Constituency, only Kianda School members are eligible to apply, as Strathmore School already has a representative.
  3. For the Strathmore University Constituency, eligibility is limited to members with financial and accounting expertise (CPA qualification), as the outgoing member is the current Treasurer.
Supervisory Committee Vacancy 

In adherence to the policy requirement for diverse representation where only one Supervisory Committee member may come from any single constituency both Strathmore University and Strathmore School / Kianda school are already represented. Therefore, only members from the Uzima Constituency are eligible to apply.

There is one (1) Supervisory Committee position available in this election cycle.

Eligibility Criteria for Board and Supervisory Committee Applicants

To qualify for nomination and subsequent election to the Board and Supervisory Committee, an applicant must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Share Capital of at least Ksh 20,000.
  2. Deposit Contribution of at least Ksh 400,000.
  3. Minimum of four (4) consecutive years of Sacco
  4. Must not have defaulted on any Sacco loan within the past two (2)
Application and Vetting Process 
  1. Interested members are required to complete the BOARD NOMINATION FORM and submit it via email to mzimarecruitment@strathmore.edu.
  2. All applications will undergo evaluation by the Elections and Vetting Committee. Only candidates who successfully pass the vetting process will be authorized to sign the Consent for Good Campaign Conduct and to commence their campaign.
  3. Application Deadline: Friday, 9th January 2026 (Email submissions only).
