- Beatrice Njeru, Ph.D.
Lecturer, Strathmore University
Beatrice is a professional communication and communication skills trainer and has vast experience teaching in higher education as well as on professional courses. She has a
background in Education – English and German, and holds a Master’s degree in teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Ulster– UK, and a
Ph.D. in Communication from Daystar University in Kenya.
Her wider research interests lie in Communication and its vast application and presentation, especially in an African context. While she is keen on the specific application of effective
written and spoken communication, her greater interest is in researching the constitutive nature of Communication, and training organisations on effective communication. As a
consultant, she is especially keen on how Communication organises and can disorganise an entity, and has held numerous trainings for corporates on the same.
She has authored and co-authored conference and journal papers, a book and book chapters.
She is Currently supervising Masters students and is especially keen on helping students navigate qualitative research.
Beatrice is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK, a Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR-UK) holder, and a member of the Public Relations Society of Kenya.
Beatrice is married to Eliud Njeru and they have three children.
